Hampton University Students Traveled to Panama to Learn Service and be Immersed in a Different Way of Life
HAMPTON, Va. (June 14, 2018) —
Thirteen Hampton University students just returned from a trip of a lifetime to Panama City, Panama, as part of the William R. Harvey Leadership Institute (WRHLI) International Service Learning Program that occurred from May 14 – 23, 2018.
This program launched in 2016 when students traveled to the Dominican Republic for an eight-day international service learning and study abroad experience.

HAMPTON, Va. (Sept. 29, 2017) – Hampton University is the top Hampton Roads college or university in the 2017 Wall Street Journal/Times Higher Education Ranking of U.S. Colleges released this week.
The Wall Street Journal ranked 1,061 institutions in six areas that includes salaries of graduates and value for money spent. Hampton University ranked ahead of every Hampton Roads college or university as well as 191st nationally.

Are you interested in studying internationally? A Study Abroad Fair was held Feb. 11 in the Hampton University Student Center Lounge. Organizations including CISabroad, Knowledge Exchange Institute (KEI), and International Studies Abroad (ISA) were present during the fair to give students more information on international study opportunities. 'Cuban Week' at Hampton University was a Huge Success
Hampton, VA - From mambo dancing to a Cuban movie night, “Cuban Week” was a culturally enriching experience for students at Hampton University.
“This was a wonderful week for me,” said Outbound Programming/Immigration Specialist at Hampton University, Samaria Haysbert.
“Cuban Week” was made possible through a grant from the Andrew Mellon Foundation which sought to help HBCU’s participate in global citizenship.
